Artists of The Oak in Orleans County New York

Artists of The Oak Art Trail -- Summer 2012

A collage of works by Artists of The Oak

Saturday August 25, 2012
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Join us for a beautiful day in the country, get to know our artists and their work. Bring the family for a day of fun including free coffee and cookies, lemonade, hellium balloons for the kids, live music, and most importantly a great selection of original fine art, artisan works, and reproductions. This year we will hold a raffle as well ... you could win an original work or art or other cool stuff!

Download the 2012 Artists of The Oak Art Trail map to print out at home.

Members of Artists of The Oak will appear in four plein aire tent studio locations featuring multiple fine artists and artisans at each stop. There will also be two gallery locations to visit along the trail and suggestions for great places to grab a cup of coffee or tasty lunch, farm markets to visit, local area wineries, and gourmet dinning for after the trail entertainment.

Our tent studio locations will feature Artists of The Oak and their works (originals, prints, notecards, etc.), plein aire painting sessions, free coffee in the mornings*, free lemonade and cookies, free hellium balloons for kids, and live music (see map for details of which locations will feature free items and music).

In an effort to help new or aspiring art collectors in building a collection of original art from local artists, artists will feature original pieces ranging in price from $20 to $100. So, bring some spending money to add to or start your private collection!

An "Art Trail" is a free event open to the public featuring a number of artists within a community along a "trail", often at their homes or studios. People who want to tour the Art Trail receive a free map leading them along the trail. An Art Trail is an excellent opportunity for local people and tourists to get to know the artists and the artistic products of a particular region, county, etc.
